Here are some examples of Marc Sijan’s awe-inspiring collection of super-realistic, life-size sculptures. Milwaukee based artist Marc Sijan, is an internationally renowned sculptor. He is considered the leading contemporary realistic sculptor of our time. His sculptures are of polyester resin and appear as “frozen forms”.
Marc Sijan has had an excess of  40 one-man museum exhibitions with record breaking attendance. Marc showcases forms that range from bikers to young women.
Sijan’s method is to work from live models, First he produces a negative mold in plaster, and sculpts the interior details with special tools and a magnifying glass. The figure is then cast in a polyester resin. The realistic flesh tones are accomplished through the application of 25 coats of paint and varnish. The final stages of the work are finished with oil paints.

Marc told me the “security guard” is actually himself from years ago. That is Marc on the right side of the photo.
